Modus Group specializes in the development of modern and dynamic Social Housing projects. Working collaboratively with Government, experienced architectural, engineering, planning and construction teams, Modus Group has delivered multiple medium density developments in Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown. Our motivation is to design and deliver cost-effective Social Housing solutions that will add value to the surrounding areas and drive positive social outcomes. Tenancy Management and Asset Management of these projects is carried out by Modus Community Housing which is our own Government registered Community Housing Provider.

David R. Nixon – Managing Director
David has established and run a number of successful companies and is actively involved in business both in New Zealand and Australia. David holds several directorships and strategic advisory roles.  David is passionate about demonstrating that the private sector can be relied on to help deliver quality social housing solutions to drive positive social outcomes.

David is responsible for development management, project management, strategy and managing key relationships and is also a Director of Modus Community Housing.

Hamish Wilton – Independent Director
Having worked for leading national and international law firms, Hamish has over 15 years’ experience as a commercial property and construction lawyer.  As a co-founder of Modus Group, Hamish assisted the successful completion of Modus’ Housing New Zealand work in Christchurch and since 2017 has acted as an independent director for Modus Group and its related entities. Hamish is currently a Director and CEO of Mackersy Property which is a leading commercial property investment and asset management firm that manages circa NZ$2BN of property throughout New Zealand.

Hamish also holds directorships for several private investment entities and not-for-profit organisations.  He holds Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science degrees.

Theo Gregory - Associate Director, Finance

Theo has helped establish several successful businesses, all operating internationally. Following this, Theo completed his Bachelor of Science and Master of Applied Finance and Economics.

Theo now works as AD Finance at Modus Group. Responsibilities include financial projections, modelling, risk mitigation, and capital raising.
